Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting as an operator is limited to verifying certain key systems are working properly, keeping debris out of the way of the system, and verifying the system is safe to continue in the event of a pause. Operators may be able to do some straightforward things to prevent or fix minor issues, but some faults will require a service technician familiar with robotic systems to “save” the robot from a fault.
6.1 Robot / Rack (Charging / Loading)
6.1.1 Battery Reload Process
The reload process should be fully automatic. In some cases, the system may have trouble that can be resolved without calling a technician.
6.1.1.1 Hallway light curtain “broken” during reload
Red “line” lights at the entrance and exit of the hallway will be flashing. If this is the case, check the following:
- Hall Light Curtain not interrupted
- Person holding the fencepost/light sensor
- Talking with hands near the hallway
- Load on the forklift interrupting the beams
- Person walking through the hallway
- Hall Curtain Misaligned
- Someone bumped the fencepost / light sensor and knocked it out of position.
- Light curtain Transmitter or Receiver may be loose.
- Intense (IR) light shone on the receiver (Robot) side of the hallway.
Solutions:
- Ensure the Hallway Detect Transmitter and Receiver bars are not interrupted or moved during the reload event.
- Verify the hall curtain sensors are securely mounted to the fenceposts.
- Ensure that no intense, direct sunlight or other IR light emitter is shining on the receiver curtain sensor.
Note: If everything appears normal or the error condition is cleared, press the flashing green “Go” button to continue the reload.
